At one time, the Dogue de Bordeaux was said to have the biggest head in the dog world.
They have a short, fine coat that is soft to the touch. Colours vary from light shades of fawn to dark brownish red with a brown or red mask.

The imposing Dogue de Bordeaux is an excellent dog with a well-balanced temperament. They are good with kids when raised in the correct environment with consistent training from puppyhood.
They make fantastic family pets and are incredibly loyal, courageous protectors.

The Dogue de Bordeaux is fairly energetic for its size and requires plenty of outdoor living space. They need approximately 45mins to 1 hour of exercise per day; this is additional to roaming their outdoor space at home.
Remember, this is a large, heavy-set breed prone to orthopaedic problems, so be sure not to overdo it with too much exercise.
